Wolf Architects, Boston
“Wolf Architects chose Armster to supply our projects because they’re a local business that understands the needs and constraints of New England climates and standards. We were familiar with Armster’s products and with Klaas’ knowledge about reclaimed lumber, and his interest in working with architects to select materials. Working closely, we explored different lumber varieties that he had available, and different approaches to milling it for our purposes. They have a large variety of reclaimed species available, and work with architects and contractors to get the right finished product.” Gary Wolf, AIA, Wolf Architects

Exterior paneling of reclaimed woods, both natural and stained, provide a distinct look and feel to the home. Vertical & horizontal milling options help profile the dynamic volumes of the house.
For the interior floors and other elements, they used old growth, heart pine from reclaimed beams; resawn and milled tongue & groove. Grain character and color are unique to this famous timber.
