Cypress or Bald Cypress – taxodium distichum

Reclaimed and New Swamp Cypress

This beautiful, lush wood is from Southeastern US swampy and coastal areas. A slow-growing, maybe the slowest growing species, it’s resistant to insects, decay and moisture. And time.

A light, strong wood with nice grain figuring that mills well for siding and decking.

Cypress has darker tones than white cedar, allowing for richer colors without stain.

Custom milled for construction

Cypress wood is used for exterior and interior design, providing warmth and beauty. These projects are by Sven Armster of Sleepy Hollow, New York.
